Background:
Keysborough Gardens Primary School officially opened its doors on 28th January 2020 and has become a leading School in the southeast with over 430 students attending in 2024.
Our School has exceptional leaders, wonderful and supportive teachers and offers the best environment for our kids to learn, grow and develop their skills in a supportive and inclusive place.
With the student population estimated to grow to 650 students, we are upgrading the school buildings and playing spaces to support our students into the future.
However, as our school community continues to grow and we welcome more families to Keysborough Gardens Primary School, so does the traffic in the area.
Our community have shared their concerns about safety around the school for our kids and have called for many years for safety improvements and upgrades to make it easier and safer for our kids to access Keysborough Gardens Primary School.
Petition:
To the City of Greater Dandenong Council: We the undersigned residents, petition the City of Greater Dandenong Council to improve the safety around Keysborough Gardens Primary School. We call on the Council to:
- Work with the department of Transport & Planning to assess the safety of the site and potential interventions around Keysborough Gardens Primary School to allow our students to safely walk and ride to school.
- Undertake community consultation with our Keysborough Gardens Primary School community on further safety improvements along Homeleigh Road, Chapel Road and Abercrombie Avenue.
